A good team performance where nothing really went our way. H was having an excellent match when he needed to come off and both Alex & Cameron also had to retire early with injury's. Having to make so many substitutions in a game always makes it difficult to have any continuity but the boys all kept to what they had been told.

After going a goal down, when I thought we where the better side, we reacted very well. We kept our shape and continued passing the ball around.

The equalizer was more than deserved and was just reward for some excellent football. Some great passing and Jordan showing good strength to hold off the defender.

Unfortunately despite showing a greater determination to win all the boys hard work was brushed aside by an awful decision by the Kirkham linesman. He must have been the only person on Common Edge to think we had anyone offside for our goal.

It was then extremely hard to take Kirkham snatching a winner, although credit to their player for a great strike. Their linesmans need to win appears to be greater than ours.

One last note, despite being disappointed with the result and whilst I have sympathy with you all we cannot have boys confronting the referee at the end of the game and abusing him. Any issues with officials will be dealt with by me. No repetitions please.

Well done lads on a strong display where you certainly deserved more than you got, these things sometimes happen.
