Disappointing day all round, even before we found out the other scores. First half with the wind at our backs we bombarded the opposition goal without scoring. Second half we continued to attack but the wind made it difficult for us and Staining did their own share of attacking aided by the gales on common edge. A mix up in defence and failure to clear the ball led to the only goal of the game ten mins before the final whistle. Again chances were missed even that late in the game but in all honesty we should have won in the first half.

A combination of bad conditions, not playing to the best of our ability and a spirited Staining side made for the loss. Put it down to a bad day at the office. Still to only lose one before xmas is an excellent record. 2009 Im sure is going to be a good year for us.
